Episode 28 • 🏠 Crypto Collectibles, Smart Assets and Dan’s SEC Infiltration

Circle with 28 in it

As time has gone on in the crypto world, we’ve begun to find new ways to harness the possibilities that a truly distributed, immutable and global digital financial network affords us. This episode we dive into one of the most exciting of these innovations – the concept of provably-rare collectibles and smart assets. From gaming and trading to houses and cars, token standards like ERC-721 and ERC-1155 may alter our methods of commerce forever. We’ll explain why in our feature.

There’s also a bucket of news and interesting topics this week, so much in fact that we couldn’t keep it all in without the episode becoming a bit of a marathon. We also discuss the best ways to mitigate malware (that don’t involve ditching Windows/OSX and swapping to Linux) in our Privacy and Security segment, and check in with Dan Dan the ICO Man – who has apparently managed to score himself a job at the SEC…

Enjoy!
